Nomad Media Benefits
The Nomad Media Explorer is an Adobe Creative Suite extension which connects Adobe CS applications directly to a creative team’s Amazon S3-hosted media assets managed by the cloud native Nomad platform. Using the Nomad Media Explorer, products such as Adobe Premiere Pro can access media assets stored in Amazon S3 buckets. This removes the need to separately download media assets from Amazon S3 buckets, greatly streamlining the media production workflow and reducing the time and bandwidth requirements for media projects.
In addition, the Nomad Media Explorer leverages several advanced features of the Nomad Media platform to optimize work efforts:
Advanced media asset searching from within the Nomad Media Explorer - find the exact media needed leveraging the power of Nomad AI discovery.
Projects can use preview or proxy versions of original media, pre-rendered by Nomad, to incorporate in projects. This further reduces the bandwidth requirements for the project, as well as minimizing the rendering load on the workstation.
When the project is complete, can toggle the Adobe application to switch to using the original assets in the project for production-quality outputs.
When using original assets, only the clips used in the project are downloaded from the original assets, greatly reducing both the bandwidth and download times needed to produce the output.
When using the Nomad Media Explorer, only clips used in projects are copied from S3-hosted assets. The assets are preserved in their original state, even for users with write access to the media in the AWS S3 bucket.
