Why this matters:
Better Accuracy, Lower Costs, and Faster Results!
Amazon Nova Multimodal Embeddings is a state-of-the-art embedding model available in Amazon Bedrock. This new capability overcomes a major former limitation of Generative AI.
Prior to this, Generative AI processes were forced to use separate models for different media types to generate their embeddings, increasing the logistical burden of the service several times over.
With Amazon Nova’s new Multimodal Embeddings capability, using Nova can efficiently generate embeddings for any types of media at the same time, greatly decreasing the logistical burden of using Generative AI to identify and match content in different assets.
The Nomad Platform takes advantage of this new capability to create universal connections between the related contents of your media assets. With Amazon Nova Multimodal Embeddings, the Nomad Platform can recognize the relations between any content in any type of media asset without the excessively complex processing of the previous single mode model.
Nomad Media’s most popular Generative AI feature, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, has always supported rich metadata generation and relational search between text, documents, images, video, and audio. But with the new AWS Multimodal Embeddings capability, the Nomad Platform is now empowered to use a single unified model, making the use of Retrieval-Augmented Generation in media workflows easier and more universally supported.
Nomad Platform’s use of Retrieval-Augmented Generation includes integration with Amazon’s S3 Vectors Embedding storage, a service designed to support the use of media-focused Generative AI at lowest TCO. Crossmodal retrieval and semantic search capabilities are also core features, and the ability to enable content safety filters and fairness measures is available as well.
This addition to the Nomad Platform’s capabilities further extends its lead over its competitors in using Generative AI to enhance the value of media assets and accelerate media production workflows.
